Michael Esposito offers 20+ years of information technology leadership experience, holding roles of increasing challenge and scope culminating in his present position as functional CIO for renowned digital design and interactive advertising agency R/GA.

Michael has become an invaluable advisor to R/GA’s executive leadership group, demonstrating time and again his ability to contribute to strategic planning, align technology initiatives with corporate business objectives, and both identify and lead implementation of technology-based projects or programs to deepen support of the company’s core business—its creative endeavors.

In fact, Michael architected and currently runs the technology infrastructure that enables R/GA’s creative teams, a global organization of 950 users, to distinguish themselves on the cutting edge of digital design and drive brand-building and marketing projects for leading companies IBM, Nike, Pepsi, Bank of America, Nokia, and Barnes & Noble. In addition, he has led build-out of a state-of-the-art digital studio, a data center, and facilities for audio and video conferencing.

Over the course of his tenure with R/GA, Michael has led high-visibility projects that have positioned technology as a key driver to both top-line revenue capture and bottom-line profitability. He has strengthened the company’s confidence in its business systems group contributing to sustained business growth and dramatic improvements in customer satisfaction and quality of the user experience as well as productivity and cost savings/control.

One of his most important roles is to direct the provision of back-end support in order to provide the global user base with virtually uninterrupted accessibility, uptime of near 100%, and seamless communications, knowledge exchange, and data sharing across countries.

When he joined R/GA in 1997, Michael recognized numerous opportunities to expand and improve its technology organization. Early on, he created a formal helpdesk organization along with service and support groups for the company’s network/server, desktop, audiovisual, and video conferencing operations. As utilization of these organizations grew, Michael introduced a trouble ticketing system a few years later to help prioritize and delegate to staff the calls for service, which have grown to number over 20,000 each year.

Prior to joining R/GA, Michael served as the Director of Service for IDP Computer Services; General Manager/Junior Partner of ASAP Computer Maintenance; and Founder/Vice President/General Manager of American Micro Technologies. Earlier career roles include telecommunications-based technology with Lanier Business Products and Telephone Support Systems.

Key drivers to Michael’s success are his skills recruiting and developing high-potential talent, building high-performance teams focused intently on delivering superior customer service, and training staff on refining their communications and interaction with the user base. These assets, as well as his many other leadership talents, have served him well across his entire career.

Michael resides in East Rockaway, NY, with his wife and four children.
